Coffee Grinders...
There are in fact two types of coffee grinders.
One is a normal blade and the other one is called a burr grinder. Some people sometimes find it difficult to distinguish between the two. |

Blade Coffee Grinders...
Blade grinders are the most expensive grinding blades. The fineness of the coffee grind can be controlled by the time of the grind period. But one must ensure that you do not grind for a longer period for getting a fine cut, as it will produce heat in the jar. So breakup several grinds over short periods. | ![Blade Coffee Grinders...]() |

Burr Coffee Grinders...
Burr grinders are those which are also used for chopping the coffee beans. With burr grinders, one should be careful about the position of the chopping blades to get the desired fineness. In burr grinders, there are two types of blades from which to choose. They are called wheel burr grinders and conical burr grinders.
Wheel burr grinders are less expensive than the conical burr variety. Wheel burrs are the fastest spinners, which make a lot of noise while grinding. They can mess up grinding if their rotation speed is increased.
Conical burrs are the best blades, which spin slowly and are less noisy than wheel burrs. Conical burrs are the best for oily coffee beans or the ones which can clog while grinding | ![Burr Coffee Grinders...]() |

Get the Right Coffee Grinder...
To grind coffee you need to have the right grinding machine for the task. The grinding period is considered directly proportional to the brewing period. For instance, the finest coffee is the espresso, which requires only thirty seconds for grinding and the finer it is, the better. On the other hand, pot coffee requires water for brewing the coffee beans. If your coffee beans are ground well, it will influence the quality of brew very much. For grinding coffee beans, do not make use of cheaper grinders as they will give you a coarse grind. Rather go for fine grinders that can finely powder the coffee beans. | ![Get the Right Coffee Grinder...]() |

Grading the Grind...
A coarse grind is likely to give you a view of distinct thick particles, or in other words, they would appear more like salt particles. A medium grind is one that may resemble more like sand particles. Fine grind can be felt with the touch of the hand, where extra-fine particles will be like talcum powder. | ![Grading the Grind...]() |
